Sunday is the final day of Tervuren’s fantastic flower market, traditionally held during the first weekend of May. Treat yourself till 4 pm to more than just bouquets: explore the variety of plants, herbs, and perennials. And be sure not to miss this year’s workshops on building bee hotels, floral bracelets and flower vases, organized by Flower Lady’s Sandra.
In just under three years, Sandra’s Flower Lady has become a key figure on Tervuren’s Markt. But was setting up shop in the midst of Covid uncertainties not a bit risky? “If it’s your dream and passion, you don’t care. You know it’s going to be a success,” she tells Tervuren+. After horticultural studies in Belgium, Sandra specialized in the Netherlands. And she has also exhibited her work in Belgium and beyond.
