TERVUREN – To bolster energy efficiency, drones conducted over 280 thermal imaging flights across Tervuren’s Congowijk and Moorsel neighborhoods in February and March. The initiative, spearheaded by town hall in collaboration with the Climate Alliance Druivenstreek, aims to assist homeowners in pinpointing heat loss and providing tailored energy-saving improvements.

Tervuren stands at the forefront of the Climate Alliance Druivenstreek, together with Bertem, Hoeilaart and Huldenberg. The thermal imaging project forms part of a suite of complimentary services, including renovation guidance and solar panel consultations.

On Thursday, April 3, town hall hosts an information evening, offering residents the opportunity to review their thermal scans and receive expert advice. Due to strong interest, appointments are being scheduled in time slots starting at 6:00 PM to minimize wait times.

For those unable to attend, an alternative is available: residents can book a free home visit with a renovation advisor through the non-profit organization IGO at www.igo.be. During these personalized consultations, advisors analyze the thermal scans with homeowners to craft a step-by-step plan featuring actionable recommendations for energy upgrades.

Missed the first wave of scans? Additional drone flights are in the pipeline for Tervuren residents, with eligible households set to receive written invitations.

Further details and registration are available at www.igo.be/renovatiebegeleiding. Residents may also reach out directly by calling 0473 85 97 82 or emailing klimaatalliantie@igo.be.
